This Bluebird Nest Box Kit is a modified design of the
very popular "Peterson Bluebird House". The house is
made from Western Red Cedar for maximum durability. This
easy to assemble kit includes cedar panels, galvanized
nails, cedar specific screws, cast iron star and
mounting instructions. All joints are made with
Phenoseal ® Adhesive Caulk
(included) ensuring a long lasting bond and weathering
tight seal. The over sized roof discourages predators
from getting at the young and helps to guard against
rain. The tapered design makes it easier for bluebirds
to build their nests, because this shape requires less
nesting material. Other features include ventilation
holes that keep the house from overheating and harming
baby birds, drainage holes in the floor and a rough
interior that enables fledglings to climb out of the
box. Lift the front panel for easy seasonal cleanouts.
Mount this bird house to a post or tree to entice
beautiful, musical, scarce bluebirds to your yard.
Mounting instructions and screws included. . The easy
to follow instructions were designed and written by a 9
year old and can easily be followed by ages 6 and up
